November 14, 2009 I can't believe it's been 6 months since I updated this. I guess I was busy with yardwork all summer. I was finishing off some rocked area and just keeping 2/3 of an acre mowed keeps me hopping! Thank goodness for the sprinkler system and that I have ditch water rights or I'd go broke.

I had a few classes and a few guests this summer also. Even got brave on the fourth of July and went ATVing with Jan and Clay, Rachel and Kaiser. Kaiser is their Schnauser. He rides in a basket in front of the driver on one ATV. He gets lots of attention from others on the trail.
We went up Imogene Pass from Ouray to where it overlooks Telluride. For someone that doesn't like heights, it was a bit of a challenge in a couple places. |

My Panama kids were here part of August. Most of their vacation was spent building a fence for their home they bought here last year. My brother and a friend of both of ours came and spent a week in Sept. We loaded up and went over to Moab, Ut. for a couple days. Gene said for a flatlander from Nebraska, seeing Canyonlands and Arches National Park was really something. |

I did have a one man show at The Creamery Gallery in Hotchkiss during August so I did spent a lot of time in July in the studio - finishing up a few paintings but mostly framing. It was a nice show and I did a couple demos there during August too. Now, I have a big commission waiting to happen. |

Meet the new President of the Western Colorado Watercolor Society. I am meeting artists from Grand Junction, Glenwood Springs, Montrose etc. Our members' show is this December and they have their juried National Show in March. Keeps me busy and out of the bars, I guess. |

My church feeds the '500' on Thanksgiving - anyone from the community that wants to come. So we are helping serve so will count our blessings in a crowd! I hope all of you enjoy Turkey Day with loved ones and friends. I wish all of you a very blessed Christmas season also as I probably won't get this updated till 2009. |

P.S. Check out Potpourri for photos from Ajijic, Mexico. Think about possibilities to going with next time. Also I would like to plan a Painting Cruise - don't know where or when but 2010 probably. If interested let me know your ideas about destinations! |
